Full-time engineers are expensive—salary, benefits, onboarding, management.
bearbeta gives you senior-level execution at a fraction of the cost, with no long-term payroll risk.
Internal teams are buried in meetings and sprint rituals.
We operate independently, cut the red tape, and move projects from idea → prototype → production quickly.
If you’re exploring an idea, validating a process, automating a workflow, or integrating AI—hiring in-house doesn’t make sense.
bearbeta handles high-uncertainty, fast-learning projects where speed matters more than polish.
You don’t need to manage us, teach us, or hand-hold us.
We handle everything from scoping to build-out to iteration so you can stay focused on running your business.
Hi — I’m Jef, and at my core I’m obsessed with testing, experimentation, and learning. Whether I’m architecting systems at Lockheed Martin or running experiments for clients, I’ve learned one thing over and over: growth happens when you test your assumptions.
My background spans DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, large-scale refactors, and space-mission software. In roles like Chief Architect and Ground Data Systems Engineer for the Lucy spacecraft team, I built systems that depended on rapid feedback loops, anomaly detection, and data-driven decision-making. That environment taught me the value of designing experiments, measuring what matters, and iterating fast.
Now I bring that same mindset to businesses.
If you want to build better products, reduce uncertainty, or ship software with confidence, the answer isn’t guessing — it’s running structured experiments.
My belief is simple:
Learning is a competitive advantage. Experiments create learning. And better learning leads to better decisions.
If you’re curious what sparked this passion, here’s a short, informal video where I talk about why I started Bearbeta:
